In relation to the process published on 29/04/2026, the application submission deadline has been extended from 18/05/2026 to 20/05/2026 at 23:59 (Peninsular Time). **Work Location** -------------------- * Galicia Region Address: Chantada (Lugo) Work is carried out daily throughout the Autonomous Community of Galicia, with departures and returns based in Chantada. **Functions and Tasks** ---------------------- * Perform animal handling, slaughter, dressing, and carcass splitting operations. * Organize and control the receipt, storage, and dispatch of carcasses, cuts, and/or other meat products. * Apply sanitary and economic criteria and techniques to classify and assess yields and quality of animals, carcasses, and cuts. * Collect data for traceability and carcass management. * Inspect and maintain slaughterhouse equipment, tools, and implements used for slaughter, dressing, meat preservation, and conditioning. * Collect and prepare samples of abnormalities observed in animals and carcasses. * Apply and maintain appropriate preservation conditions for carcasses, cuts, and other meat products. **Specific Requirements** -------------------------- Compliance with the requirements and/or merits must be substantiated by completing evaluation tests and/or attaching the necessary documentation in the “Annexes” section of the registration questionnaire. The Tragsa Group reserves the right to request, at any stage of the selection process, documentary evidence supporting information declared in the application, as well as to request additional information from the candidate’s CV whenever necessary to verify the stated requirements and/or merits. ### **Education** #### **Qualifications** * Spanish Baccalaureate (BUP/COU), FP I or CFGM, FP II or CFGS (qualification officially recognized in Spain or equivalence certificate issued by the General Secretariat of Universities), or six months of documented professional experience in this position. ### **Other Mandatory Requirements** * Valid Spanish driving license type B, currently in force. **Merit Criteria (Evaluable)** ------------------------ ### **Education** #### **Additional Training** * Documented training in office software, minimum 20 hours. ### **Prior Experience** * Six months to three years performing duties as a slaughterer or slaughterhouse assistant (documented employment). * Six months to four years of experience in butchery or meat cutting room work (documented employment). ### **Other Meritorious Factors** * Documented training in animal welfare in slaughterhouses and associated facilities or in food handling. **Other Conditions** --------------------- * Continuous morning shift. **Observations** ----------------- * Offer includes: + Fixed-term contract, estimated duration of 6 months. + Full-time working hours. + Work will be carried out across the Galicia Region. + Expected start date: early June.
