At LORTEK, a Technology Centre affiliated with BRTA, we are seeking an **AI and Computer Vision Researcher**, whose primary responsibilities will include research and technology transfer in the following areas: + Development of R&D projects in computer vision and industrial process monitoring + Software development and programming + Design and implementation of inspection systems (cameras, lenses, illumination systems, 3D scanners) and tuning / development / validation / deployment of computer vision models + Participation in national and international R&D projects in collaboration with other group members and researchers from other LORTEK domains + Development of new proposals, either collaborating or leading task management and execution, interacting with clients and institutions, and contributing to the drafting of deliverables and scientific publications **WHAT WE OFFER** - Attractive personal and professional development opportunities - Ongoing technical training - Flexible schedule and working hours - Direct involvement in both research and industrial enterprise activities - The opportunity to join a young, enthusiastic team in a positive work environment - Participation in decision-making - Initial employment contract with prospects for consolidation as a cooperative member **Required Education:** * Master’s or Doctorate (PhD), preferably in Computer Science or equivalent experience * A Doctorate degree is considered a strong asset **Knowledge and Experience:** * Inspection technologies: illumination systems, lenses, cameras, 3D scanners, etc. * Advanced 2D and 3D image processing techniques; Machine Learning and Deep Learning applied to data and image modeling and analysis * Software and frameworks for Computer Vision and Deep Learning: TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenCV, and scikit-learn * Programming languages: Python and C++/C# * Software development stack: Git, Docker, CI/CD * Experience developing applications using computer vision * Advanced Python programming; object-oriented programming languages such as C++ or C# are considered an asset * Experience training and evaluating deep neural network architectures for image processing tasks: classification, object detection, and segmentation * Experience in related technologies—such as advanced sensing, industrial communication, industrial software—is considered an asset * Prior experience in industry-collaborative R&D projects is highly valued **Languages:** * Proficiency in spoken and written English * Basque (Euskera) **Competencies:** * Leadership and client-facing skills (industrial sector) * Responsibility and commitment * Flexibility and multidisciplinarity * Research orientation * Ability to coordinate with other researchers in Joining Technologies and Additive Manufacturing fields * Initiative in proposing solutions and ability to implement them * Autonomy in fulfilling commitments (quality, deadlines, etc.) * Orientation toward generation and transfer of technological solutions
