Main Responsibilities: * Ensure periodic maintenance and repair instrumentation, automation, and electrical faults across all mine equipment and machinery, replacing components. * Program and optimize industrial control programs in programmable logic controllers (PLCs). * Repair and program mine data networks, radio communication networks, audio and video networks. * Prepare equipment and machinery fault reports. * Execute all phases of instrument installation in mine production units (assembly and commissioning). * Optimize commands for fixed and remote equipment. * Monitor and repair high-voltage substation control systems in case of faults. * Perform calibrations and tests on specific equipment, such as: static and dynamic weighing scales, temperature, pressure and flow transmitters; pneumatic automatic valves; vibration detection systems; diagnose and repair faults in Detroit Diesel motor controllers (EMC's) installed on mobile equipment. * Interpret electrical, electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics to implement optimization and productivity improvements for equipment. * Operate, when required, high-voltage cells in substations adjacent to the extraction shaft and in main mine ventilation fan substations. * Ensure compliance with “General Safety, Health, Environment and Communities Standards” within Department-related areas and facilities, thereby complying with applicable legislation, ensuring proper working conditions, and minimizing Somincor’s operational impacts on both the environment and associated communities. * Complete work sheets, reports and record tables.
