If you wish to develop your professional career in the field of welding, at LORTEK we are seeking a **Researcher in Joining Technologies (*****Materials*****)**, whose main responsibilities will include research and technology transfer in the following areas: + Development of R\+D projects in the field of Joining Technologies and Materials, covering various stages: preparation of new proposals, project management and execution, interaction with clients and institutions, writing deliverables and scientific articles, etc. + Analysis of material and/or joint behavior (metallic materials, polymers, composite materials…). + Determination of mechanical properties of materials and/or joints. + Determination of microstructural properties of materials and/or joints. + Fracture analysis of materials and/or joints and proposal of improvement solutions. + Analysis of effects and optimization of heat treatments. + Redesign of components to optimize joints. + Analysis of material and/or joint behavior in contact with Hydrogen (hydrogen charging tests, embrittlement…). **WHAT WE OFFER** + Attractive personal and professional development opportunities + Continuous technical training + Flexible schedule and calendar + Direct participation in the world of research and industrial enterprise + Being part of a young and motivated team in a positive work environment + Participation in decision-making processes + Initial employment contract with potential consolidation as a cooperative member **Required Education:** * Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or Materials Engineering. * Master's degree in Physics, Chemistry, etc. * A PhD qualification will be highly valued. **Knowledge and Experience:** * Minimum three years of experience in the field of materials behavior research (metallic materials, polymers, composite materials…). * Experience in materials behavior testing: Mechanical tests such as tensile, bending, fatigue, residual stress measurements, etc. * Experience in materials characterization techniques: Microstructural preparation, optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, advanced techniques (EDS, EBSD), etc. * Research experience in material behavior in contact with hydrogen will be highly valued. * Previous experience in R\+D projects with industrial companies will be positively considered. * Prior participation in national and international research projects will be valued. **Languages:** * Proficiency in spoken and written English. * Basque (Euskera) **Skills:** * Leadership and client communication skills (industrial sector). * Responsibility and commitment. * Flexibility and multidisciplinary capability. * Research vocation. * Ability to coordinate with other researchers in the fields of Digitization Technologies and Additive Manufacturing Technologies. * Initiative to propose solutions and ability to implement them. * Autonomy in meeting commitments (quality, deadlines, etc.). * Orientation towards generating and transferring technological solutions.
