




Job Summary: Ingeteam is seeking a Software Test & Validation Engineer to ensure software quality of converters through test design, execution, and automation, collaborating closely with the development team. Ingeteam, a leading company specializing in electrical engineering and the development of electrical equipment, motors, generators, and frequency converters, seeks to incorporate a Software Test & Validation Engineer into its Technology Area for Converters & Controls in Zamudio. The role’s mission is to ensure that the electronic CCU product associated with the company’s power converter products meets established quality standards prior to launch/delivery, with a particular focus on validating correct converter software functionality. Main Responsibilities: * Design and execute various types of tests—both manual and automated—for validation of automation solutions. * Analyze test results, identify defects, and communicate with the development team for resolution. * Automate repetitive and complex tests to improve testing process efficiency. - Collaborate with HW/SW development teams across all stages of the product lifecycle—from planning through delivery—to ensure quality from the outset. - Analyze and enhance testing processes to optimize product quality. Requirements: * Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Electronic and Automatic Engineering or equivalent. * Minimum English level: B2. * Experience in: PLC / LabView / Python programming for test automation. Development of test protocols. Requirements management. * Knowledge of: Power topologies, converter control, and automation. Signal analysis. Field buses and industrial automation communication protocols: CAN, SERIAL, TCP, UDP, MODBUS, PROFINET, OPC UA, etc. * Goal-oriented, quality-focused, and problem-solving mindset. * Initiative. * Teamwork skills. * Willingness to travel and valid driver’s license B1. Ren skills for teamwork, innovation, and quality- and results-oriented approach. Preferred Qualifications: * Basic knowledge of Matlab/Simulink. * Database knowledge. * SCADA systems knowledge. * Basic C/C++ programming skills for autonomous development of control applications oriented toward testing. * Experience using ECAD tools (ORCAD, ALTIUM).
