Planning Engineer (Madrid)

Description

**Initial project:** You will participate in one of the most relevant projects for reinforcing and stabilizing the Spanish electricity grid, developed for Red Eléctrica de España (REE), with a planned duration of 4 years and a high technical and strategic component within the energy transition. Subsequently, you may continue working on the group EAG’s portfolio of major national and international projects (nuclear power plants, thermal power plants, renewable energy facilities, landmark buildings, etc.). **Job responsibilities / Functions:** This position is within the Operations Directorate, in the Planning team, reporting to the Director of Operations and the Planning Manager. You will be responsible for ensuring the planning, monitoring, and control of key project milestones, providing critical information to support management and client decision-making. Your tasks will include, among others: * Development, integration, and updating of Level 3 schedules. * Preparation of monthly reports, resource/hours histograms, and S-curves showing overall project progress and progress by discipline using Earned Value Management. * Supporting Project Managers (PMs) and Design Managers (DMs) with established and agreed-upon project reports containing relevant planning, cost, and progress information. * Updating project performance indicators. * Planning and monitoring multidisciplinary engineering work programs for industrial facility projects. * Critical path analysis and schedule quality assessment. **Mandatory requirements:** * Master’s degree (or Senior Engineer) in Industrial Engineering or Chemical Engineering. * English level B2 or higher. * Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6. **Desirable qualifications:** * Experience with electrical power generation plant projects. * Field experience (construction site experience). * Project Management and Planning certifications (PMP, PMI-SP or similar). * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project and Excel. **Required experience:** At least 4 years of professional experience in planning and monitoring multidisciplinary engineering work programs for industrial facility projects, preferably combined-cycle power plants and/or electrical power generation projects. **Work location:** EAG headquarters, located in central Madrid (Quevedo metro station, Chamberí district). **Type of vacancy:** - Permanent position with an indefinite-term contract, directly employed by EAG (Empresarios Agrupados – GHESA). **Offered benefits:** Attractive remuneration package: fixed salary + variable bonus Social benefits: * Flexible working hours * 2 days of remote work per week * Intensive summer working hours * Meal allowance * Continuous training (extensive in-house catalog) * Free English and/or French classes with native speakers * Official language proficiency bonuses and certifications * Life insurance * Childcare allowance * Flexible compensation solutions (transport card, meal card, childcare voucher, etc.) * Discount on private health insurance.
