Ensure quality and robustness of communication systems through rigorous testing Responsibilities: MaxLinear is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our Systems team at the Valencia Design Center. In this role, you will lead functional and non\-functional testing for our cutting\-edge embedded software and systems. You will collaborate with a team of experienced engineers to develop MaxLinear’s next\-generation communication infrastructure System\-on\-Chip (SoC) solutions. As a Senior System Integration Test Engineer, you will ensure the quality and robustness of our communication systems. Your key responsibilities include:* Review system specifications provided by design teams * Design and implement test procedures to validate system requirements and measure system performance indicators during both Pre\-silicon and Post\-silicon phases * Automate system\-level test suites using scripting languages (Python) and lab instrumentation APIs, aiming for maximum automation across all phases * Use and collaborate to maintain and enhance existing cloud\-based test infrastructure for assigned projects * Collaborate closely with software and hardware design engineers to align testing with development goals * Execute, analyze, and report system test results, providing actionable insights * Track and report defects, verify fixes, and ensure resolution Qualifications: * Education \& Experience: * + Bachelors in Telecommunications or Electronic Engineering with 2\+ years of relevant industry experience, OR + Masters in Telecommunications or Electronic Engineering * Technical Skills: * + Knowledge of RF and digital communication systems hardware / software + Hands\-on experience with lab instruments (e.g. spectrum analyzer, signal generator, oscilloscope) + Good Python programming skills * Soft Skills: * + Fluent in written and spoken English + Ability to communicate with colleagues from other departments, local or remote + Highly organized, detail\-oriented, and passionate about efficiency + Open to learning new technologies, tools, and programming languages Preferred (Nice\-to\-Have) Skills:* Understanding of IP networking * ISTQB Foundation Level Certification or higher * Linux OS knowledge * Embedded systems experience * Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git) * Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) processes and tools (e.g., Jenkins) * Familiarity with communication technologies (e.g., Wi\-Fi) Company Overview: MaxLinear is a global, NASDAQ\-traded company (MXL) where the entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well.
