We are currently looking for a **Maintenance Engineer Manager** for our Sachets Unit, whose mission will be to ensure the proper operation of the pharmaceutical plant. **MISSION** Develop and implement the preventive maintenance plan for assigned production machinery, in collaboration with the operational team’s mechanics. Provide support for major repairs, modifications, and improvements whose required effort and/or complexity cannot be handled by the operational team itself. Periodically analyze machine performance data to define actions. Ensure machinery documentation remains up-to-date. **RESPONSIBILITIES** * Define and monitor timely and high-quality execution of the preventive maintenance plan. * Support the operational team on major repairs, modifications, and improvements whose required effort and/or complexity cannot be handled by the operational team itself. * Monitor and audit work performed by specialists within the operational teams. * Ensure correct assignment of work orders (PDS, OT) within the CMMS, auditing agreed-upon information (type of intervention, failure cause, intervention time, etc.). * Periodically analyze machine performance data (corrective work orders, stoppage indices, spare parts usage, etc.) to establish action plans (modifications, overhauls, adjustments to the preventive maintenance plan, etc.) aimed at increasing equipment availability. * Define and update the list of spare parts to be kept in the spare parts warehouse. * Maintain machinery documentation. * Manage testing activities: new formats, packaging materials. * Manage development of significant improvements and machinery refurbishments, including change control. * Define and approve dimensional and material specifications for new presentations and formats of manufacturing and packaging machines. * Be responsible for keeping skeleton information for their machinery up-to-date. * Provide support to other roles (Engineering, QA, etc.) on machinery-related matters (qualifications, new projects, etc.). * Perform periodic calibration of production equipment instruments. * Design and manage the calibration plan. * Inform the operational team about faulty instruments requiring repair. * Manage acquisition of formats for existing production lines. * Manage improvements to existing equipment. * Comply with GMP, GLP, GDP or other applicable regulations per current legislation. Report any non-compliance to the person responsible, and, depending on severity and recurrence, also to the role responsible for regulatory compliance. * Comply with safety and environmental regulations outlined in procedures, guidelines, and work instructions; report to supervisors any situations or actions that may pose risks to processes—both for personal safety and for others potentially affected by professional activities. * Actively participate in and drive continuous improvement and innovation in processes involving their role, identifying improvement opportunities and promoting innovation. Actively contribute to Industrial Operations’ challenges and objectives. * Meet and maintain standards. * Apply Lean tools proposed for job performance. * Identify and report improvement opportunities and participate in continuous improvement events. * Fulfill assigned responsibilities in line with self-management principles and company policies and values. * Supervise tasks assigned to team members and ensure compliance with regulations. * Be responsible for team performance and associated behaviors—including respect, empathy, commitment, and efficiency. * Ensure internal team coordination to achieve objectives. * Identify training needs and establish necessary training systems. * Detect inefficiencies, negative attitudes, labor regulation violations, and propose corrective measures within their area of responsibility. * Participate in evaluations of operational team members under their scope. **ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE** * University degree, preferably in technical-scientific fields: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related disciplines. * Knowledge of industrial safety regulations and machinery-specific regulations. * Knowledge of facility, machinery, and building maintenance. * Knowledge of GMP regulations. * Advanced English. * Experience managing teams. * Prior experience in this role will be valued. * Knowledge of Lean continuous improvement tools. **SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES** * Leadership and team management capability. * Orientation toward continuous improvement and innovation. * Rigor in complying with regulations and procedures. * Analytical and problem-solving capability. * Commitment to safety and environmental protection. ### **Additional Information:** * Work location: Sant Andreu de la Barca * Professional group: 6 * Working hours: Central shift * Employment type: Permanent contract *Why work with Almirall?* We are a **people-centric company** where employees perform at their best, patients and customers are at the heart of every decision, and our focus and agility allow us to deliver greater impact for all.
