Summary: This role manages end-to-end project activities for gateway deployment, activation, and operational readiness across EMEA, ensuring timely, coordinated, and high-quality infrastructure delivery. Highlights: 1. Lead end-to-end gateway deployment and service delivery in EMEA 2. Drive cross-functional coordination and partner alignment 3. Navigate complex multi-country regulatory processes AST SpaceMobile is building the first and only global cellular broadband network in space to operate directly with standard, unmodified mobile devices based on our extensive IP and patent portfolio and designed for both commercial and government applications. Our engineers and space scientists are on a mission to eliminate the connectivity gaps faced by today's five billion mobile subscribers and finally bring broadband to the billions who remain unconnected. **Position Overview** The Gateway Project Manager (EMEA) is responsible for end‑to‑end project management of all service delivery activities related to gateway deployment, activation, scaling, and operational readiness across the EMEA region. This role ensures timely, coordinated, and high‑quality delivery of gateway infrastructure by managing schedules, risks, dependencies, cross‑functional alignment, and KPI performance. This position leads execution across engineering, deployment, operations, partners, and local site teams to ensure gateways are delivered on time, meet capacity and performance requirements, and support regional service‑growth objectives. Operating at the intersection of large‑scale infrastructure delivery and advanced satellite gateway technology, this role requires a blend of technical understanding, program‑management discipline, and operational urgency. The Gateway Project Manager must navigate complex multi‑country regulatory processes, cross‑partner coordination, and accelerated timelines while ensuring each gateway meets stringent technical, capacity, and service‑readiness standards across diverse EMEA markets. **Key Responsibilities** *Gateway Deployment \& Service Delivery Project Management* * Lead and manage all service delivery project activities for EMEA gateway rollouts, upgrades, and expansions. * Build and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, and delivery trackers aligned with regional objectives. * Ensure timely execution of planning, installation, integration, and operational readiness phases. *Cross‑Functional Coordination \& Partner Alignment* * Coordinate with engineering, RF, core, gateway, regulatory, logistics, site vendors, and operations teams to secure delivery dependencies. * Drive synchronization across partners, suppliers, and local site teams to maintain schedule adherence. * Ensure all stakeholder groups are aligned on responsibilities, deadlines, and delivery criteria. *Risk, Issue \& Dependency Management* * Identify risks early, maintain logs, and implement mitigation strategies across gateway delivery projects. * Monitor issues impacting timelines, escalate when needed, and ensure timely resolution. * Track dependencies across power, regulatory clearances, backhaul provisioning, hardware readiness, and integration windows. *KPI Management, Performance Tracking \& Reporting* * Define, measure, and report KPIs related to gateway readiness, delivery speed, quality, and scale performance. * Provide weekly and monthly reporting on project status, delays, risks, achievements, and next steps. * Ensure KPI data is integrated into regional dashboards and service delivery governance routines. *Operational Readiness \& Handover Enablement* * Ensure all gateways meet acceptance criteria, integration readiness, and operational requirements pre‑handover. * Deliver structured handover packages, playbooks, documentation, and readiness checklists for operations and NOC teams. * Validate post‑delivery performance and ensure smooth transition to steady‑state monitoring. *Continuous Improvement \& Delivery Optimization* * Identify workflow gaps, process inefficiencies, and improvement areas across the gateway delivery lifecycle. * Recommend enhancements for tools, templates, reporting mechanisms, and delivery processes. * Drive best practices across gateway deployment teams in EMEA. *Deliverables* * Gateway delivery project schedules, milestone plans, and execution trackers. * Weekly/monthly status reports, KPI dashboards, and performance summaries. * Risk registers, issue logs, mitigation plans, and escalation documentation. * Gateway readiness checklists, acceptance packages, and operational handover documentation. * Integration coordination packages, site delivery documentation, and governance artifacts. * Continuous improvement proposals for EMEA gateway delivery and scale‑out processes. **Qualifications** **Education** * Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Project Management, or related field. * Project Management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile delivery) are a plus. **Experience** * 5–8 years of experience in telecom project management, service delivery, gateway deployment, or network rollout. * Experience managing large telecom infrastructure or satellite network projects across EMEA is highly preferred. * Strong track record coordinating cross‑functional teams and external partners in fast‑paced delivery cycles. * Experience managing large‑scale deployment KPIs and operational readiness programs. **Required Technical Expertise** * Understanding of telecom gateways, satellite ground infrastructure, RAN/core/gateway integration flows, and site deployment processes. * Familiarity with backhaul provisioning, power/cooling requirements, rack deployment, and integration workflows. * Experience with KPI tracking for delivery, performance, and capacity scaling. * Knowledge of deployment standards, acceptance criteria, and readiness frameworks. **Professional Skills** * Excellent project management, coordination, and stakeholder‑engagement skills. * Strong communication and reporting capabilities with ability to brief technical/non‑technical audiences. * Detail‑oriented, organized, and strong at multi‑project execution. * Ability to escalate thoughtfully, resolve conflicts, and manage pressures across multiple parallel projects. * Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to drive decisions in cross‑functional environments. **Technology Proficiency** * Project management and tracking tools (Jira, Asana, MS Project, Smartsheet). * Documentation and collaboration platforms (Confluence, SharePoint, Miro). * KPI dashboards and reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau). * Familiarity with ITSM systems and integration workflows is beneficial. **Physical Requirements** * Ability to work in office or hybrid environment and manage extended project review sessions. * Willingness to travel across EMEA, including on‑site gateway visits, vendor meetings,
