Palgrave Higher Education, meanwhile, develops and distributes textbooks, e-books, and interactive digital learning resources, primarily for university students. **About the Role:** We are looking for a trainee in Philology, Communication, Design, Education, Editing, or related fields to support the Editorial Team in developing materials for subjects taught in Vocational Training Programs. **Main Responsibilities:** Editorial Production and Content Review * Assisting with incorporating corrections into reprints. * Participating in press proof checks. * Reviewing audio recordings and video-animations. * Collaborating on the creation of briefs, style guides, and glossaries. * Researching educational trends and curriculum updates. * Sourcing reference materials and analyzing competitors. Design and Graphic Production * Modifying and correcting images in Photoshop. * Assisting with image sourcing. * Preparing illustration briefs for classroom components. Digital Production * Generating PDFs from Word documents. * Formatting and finalizing PDFs for digital platforms: activities, assessments, Genially. * Assisting in the creation of digital resources. Organization and Operational Support * Organizing and uploading files to shared drives. * Creating and updating spreadsheets or databases. * Supporting file uploads to the digital platform. **Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:** * Demonstrated interest in education and publishing * English language proficiency at B2+ level (spoken and written). * Ability to review, categorize, and organize files, audio, and images. * Attention to detail in creating digital resources and arranging graphic elements on the page. * Writing skills, strong reading comprehension, and linguistic sensitivity for text correction. * Interest in learning about editing processes and tools for both print and digital formats. * Ability to work collaboratively in a team. * Clear and effective communication skills. * Basic knowledge of editorial design, layout, and art applied to educational books. * Familiarity with editing and design tools such as: Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, InCopy, Canva, Genially, and basic video editing tools.
