Job Summary: Nurse for a residential care facility, focused on promoting user autonomy and planning care to mitigate functional and cognitive dependency, with case management and interdisciplinary intervention. Key Points: 1. Promotion of user autonomy 2. Case management and interdisciplinary intervention 3. Comprehensive geriatric care with a preventive perspective We are offering a vacant nursing position at a residential care facility, 20 hours per week, morning shifts and rotating weekends. Our care model focuses on promoting user autonomy. Within this context, the nurse plays a fundamental role in assessing and planning care to mitigate users’ functional and cognitive dependency. Case management and interdisciplinary intervention form part of nursing competencies, which—alongside other professionals—will be applied in delivering user care. Additionally, the nurse carries out nursing-specific procedures such as laboratory test monitoring, pressure ulcer and other wound dressings, and clinical follow-up within the geriatric scope, enabling the nursing professional to gain experience across a wide range of pathological conditions. All this is carried out from a preventive perspective and with continuous care—from decompensation of the user’s health status through to its resolution—with the residential facility nurse actively participating in and witnessing both stages. Accordingly, we seek a nursing professional interested in comprehensive care and ambitious about developing a career in geriatrics. Prior experience in the sector is valued but not mandatory. Position Type: Full-time, Permanent Contract Education: * Nursing Diploma/Degree (Desirable) Experience: * Nursing: 2 years (Desirable) License/Certification: * Professional Registration (Desirable) Work Location: On-site employment
