Join Avolta and be part of a team that’s shaping the future of travel \- together. **PURPOSE OF THE ROLE** The purpose of this internship is to provide a structured and hands‑on learning experience, enabling the intern to develop practical skills in retail operations, category management, and promotional execution within an international environment. In this training\-focused role, the intern will support the EMEA Category Management and Retail Promotions teams across a wide range of operational and project activities, contributing to data accuracy, vendor assortment coordination, and in‑store space optimization while gaining exposure to cross\-functional collaboration and business processes. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** As part of the internship learning experience, the student will progressively support and learn to perform the following activities: * Support on Tenders, gaining exposure to procurement processes and cross‑functional collaboration. * Compile and share NVO Forecasts with SC/CS, developing analytical skills and understanding of forecasting cycles. * Maintain the EMEA Delivery Rights file, ensuring data accuracy and learning about product rights \& distribution governance. * Complete GSD forms for Development and Non‑Development projects, gaining familiarity with internal project documentation and workflows. * Assist Regional Category Managers in keeping vendor assortments updated, learning the fundamentals of category management. * Interact daily with local teams to help solve incidents and respond to operational questions, building communication and problem‑solving skills. Under guidance from the team, the intern will actively participate in several project‑based learning activities: * Contribute to the S/XS shop assortment selection for EMEA stores, learning how commercial decisions translate into in‑store execution. * Identify and map Generic Spaces across the EMEA region (OPP, 40% Off, HPPs, Trex, New, etc.) in collaboration with each country’s Operations team. * This includes creating a structured database with layout locations, photos, and dimensions—developing project management, organisation, and documentation skills. **WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR** We are looking for a student who is eager to learn and develop professionally within an international retail environment. The ideal candidate brings a strong learning mindset and the potential to grow into the role, supported by the team. Key attributes include: * Strong organizational mindset, with the willingness to learn how to structure tasks, priorities, and workflows. * Ability to handle multiple tasks, progressively developing time‑management skills in a fast‑paced environment. * Good working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, and the motivation to further improve analytical and presentation capabilities. * Fast learner, with the ability to adapt quickly to new tools, systems, and internal processes. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the desire to build confidence in cross‑functional interactions. * Analytical and problem‑solving attitude, supported by curiosity and a proactive approach to understanding issues. * Self‑driven and reliable, demonstrating ownership of assigned tasks while learning to work autonomously. * Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
