You define us—you make SGS. **Job Description** We are recruiting a **Telecontrol Engineer** to join our Barcelona construction team. The selected candidate will participate in strategic projects involving the design, upgrade and maintenance of the **telecontrol system** for Barcelona’s urban tunnels and ring roads, contributing technical expertise and project management autonomy. This is a **stable position**, offering professional career progression and involvement in key infrastructure projects critical to the city. **Main Responsibilities** **1. Preparation and development of execution projects** * Design and upgrade of telecontrol systems for urban tunnels and ring roads. * Development of improvement proposals and associated technical documentation. **2. Support during implementation of telecontrol system improvements** * Participation in platform modernization processes. * Technical coordination with internal teams and suppliers. **3. Support in supervising maintenance tasks** * Accompanying supervision of telecontrol platform maintenance. * Validation of interventions and review of technical incidents. **Requirements** **Required Profile:** * Technical degree in Industrial Engineering, Telecommunications, Electronics, Automation or equivalent. * Experience in designing and preparing execution projects and in telecontrol installations. * Experience in integration, commissioning, maintenance and support of control and monitoring systems in critical infrastructures: tunnels, urban infrastructures or industrial environments. * Prior experience in industrial control and telecontrol architecture is desirable: PLC, RTU, SCADA and their integration into control centers or centralized management systems. * Knowledge of industrial communication networks and telecommunications is desirable (industrial Ethernet, optical fiber, managed switches, and industrial protocols). * General knowledge of monitoring systems, telecommunications or technical system integration. * Ability to work in a team, solve technical problems and adapt to multidisciplinary environments. * Occasional night-shift supervision may be required. * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and TCQ. * Valid driver’s license required; personal vehicle preferred. **Personal Competencies:** * Goal orientation and adherence to deadlines. * Autonomy in performing duties. * Technical analytical capability. * Orientation toward internal and external customers. **Additional Information** **What else can we offer you?** Continuous and specialized technical training in Process Safety, Sustainability and Climate Change.
