Key job responsibilities We offer you a unique opportunity to train while gaining professional experience through a two-year program, during which you will earn the official Master’s Degree in Electromechanical Engineering from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, as well as the professional experience required to join our RME (Reliability, Maintenance, and Engineering) teams at our logistics centers. The program structure is as follows: * You will pursue the Master’s Degree in Electromechanical Engineering. It will be delivered in an alternating format, meaning your work schedule will be adjusted to accommodate both class time and self-study hours, as well as hands-on professional experience hours. * You will receive additional training in areas such as Risk Prevention, English, and technical supplements (PLCs, etc.). * You will complete your apprenticeship by learning the profession while working at the logistics center to which you applied. During these phases, you will work on pre-established shifts adapted to your academic timetable. * Throughout the entire program, you will receive support from a dedicated mentor (tutor) who will guide you toward success both during your time at the educational institution and at our logistics centers. You will also be able to conduct your Master’s Thesis (TFM) on a practical topic within our logistics centers and see the applied results. During the apprenticeship program, you will work to achieve the following objectives: * Interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, and understand and develop strategies to improve code according to IEC 61131\-3\. * Practice hands-on active monitoring to identify failures and repair systems, thereby ensuring high equipment availability for our internal customers. * Train technical staff on fundamental concepts of fault detection in control systems to elevate site-wide knowledge levels. * Work within the EU Control Network to enhance the capability to monitor MHE (Material Handling Equipment) metrics and deliver visualization and data to internal customers through prioritized problem resolution. * Actively participate in or lead continuous improvement projects coordinated by the EU Control Network. * Achieve Subject Matter Expert (SME) level proficiency across all control systems and sensors within the center. * Collaborate with IT, Controls Engineering, and EU Operations Engineering teams to ensure all systems are properly documented and that an accurate, up-to-date support library is maintained. * Work alongside global teams to support the installation and commissioning of new equipment. * Support other centers across the EU network as needed. Apprenticeship Program Structure: You will sign an alternating training contract enabling you to alternate academic studies with professional experience over two years (the Master’s curriculum will be structured accordingly to be completed within two years). You will begin the apprenticeship program in late August 2026, studying the Master’s program in alternating format (classes will be scheduled within your working hours), where you will acquire all foundational knowledge of this profession and immediately apply it at our logistics centers. Throughout the program, you will receive guidance from your assigned tutor at the logistics center, while also receiving essential technical support from Amazon professionals to ensure effective knowledge transfer and skill development on our specific technologies. At the logistics centers, you will immerse yourself in this profession by spending time alongside our teams—experiencing daily tasks firsthand, always under the supervision and guidance of a tutor from our professional team. (If you wish to include a cover letter with your CV, please attach both in a single PDF file)!**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS** ------------------------ * You may join our program if: * You are at least 18 years old. * You hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably in industrial or automatic engineering. * You are interested in pursuing the Master’s program we offer through the aforementioned university; to do so, you must meet all eligibility requirements. * You possess a minimum English proficiency level of B2. * You are available to commit full-time to the program, considering it is a full-time training program. * You are committed to learning, developing, and engaging fully throughout the entire program duration (2 years). * You are passionate about automation, robotics, and highly automated processes—and aim to build your professional career in this field. **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS** ---------------------------- * Experience with PLCs, SCADA, industrial robots, and automated systems. * Skills in electrical engineering, electronics, robotics, mechanics, or mechatronics. * Experience in industrial systems. * Programming skills. * Prior professional experience, preferably in industrial maintenance or process configuration (not mandatory).
