Job Summary: We are seeking a Data Engineering Lead to define, develop, and manage data ingestion processes on the Big Data platform, ensuring availability and data quality. Key Responsibilities: 1. Lead the ingestion of structured and unstructured data 2. Collaborate on the migration to Google Cloud Platform 3. We are looking for a Data Engineering Lead responsible for defining, developing, and managing data ingestion processes (batch and streaming) on the Big Data platform, ensuring proper data availability, quality, and processing for various business use cases. You will lead the ingestion of structured and unstructured data, document these processes, and guarantee their accessibility to internal users and auditors. You will closely collaborate with the Architecture team on the upcoming migration to Google Cloud Platform and maintain continuous oversight of the data lake and its ingestions. You will act as the liaison with business units to understand requirements and ensure consistency of the data model. You will coordinate new developments, supervise less experienced staff, and support Data Governance initiatives. Additionally, you will make technical decisions to resolve incidents and ensure the smoothness and reliability of the Big Data ecosystem. We would love to meet you if you have: A degree in Computer Science or related field. 5 years of experience in Big Data projects. Professional-level English proficiency. Knowledge of Hive, Impala, Kudu, Spark Streaming, Kafka Streams, and Control-M. Experience in data ingestion (batch and streaming) and Big Data ecosystems. Ability to document processes, coordinate with business stakeholders, and resolve technical incidents.
