Summary Job ID: ES\_HQ00340 Location: 08174 Sant Cugat del Vallès Professional Area: Category Management Responsibility Level: Professional Working Hours: Full-time Responsibilities * Negotiate commercial, supply, and quality terms with assigned suppliers within the framework defined by Procurement. * Ensure correct product assortment for each category under your responsibility. * Ensure agreed-upon quality with suppliers and compliance with defined Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) criteria through incident tracking and coordination of corrective actions. * Propose corrective measures to achieve established margin and sales targets. * Assess supplier compliance with commercial, quality, and supply terms. * Evaluate supplier continuity based on campaign performance results. * Analyze sales, margin, and deviation results against targets. * Audit compliance with quality, pricing, and in-store performance standards for products within your scope. * Audit supplier compliance with quality, food safety, traceability, animal welfare, sustainability, and applicable regulatory requirements. * Represent the company at national and international trade fairs for frozen and food sectors to identify new suppliers, products, and technologies. * Set weekly, weekend, and marketing-agreed promotional prices in alignment with defined objectives. * Propose packaging changes and improvements for your categories. * Monitor and verify supplier compliance with supply terms in assigned categories. * Collaborate with the Supply Chain Management department for stock and shrinkage control. * Support Quality Department initiatives related to product quality within the defined assortment. * Identify alternative suppliers for required product categories. * Coordinate teams within your area. Requirements * University degree in Business Administration and Management, Economics, or related field. * Minimum 4 years’ experience in Category/Buying/Procurement/Purchasing within food retail, managing ice cream and/or frozen food categories, or as a Key Account Manager in the ice cream and/or frozen food industry. * In-depth knowledge of the ice cream and/or frozen food sector: assortment, quality standards, suppliers, formats, and consumer trends. * Experience negotiating commercial terms, pricing, promotions, and profitability in fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG)/mass-market environments. * Advanced proficiency in sales data and category KPIs (e.g., margin, turnover, shrinkage, promotional effectiveness). * Strong leadership and communication skills, with a results-driven mindset and clear business vision. * Analytical ability to evaluate costs, market trends, and data, transforming them into growth opportunities and category improvements. * Minimum English level: B2\. * Advanced Excel skills and user-level proficiency in Microsoft Power BI (PBI).
