Research at CRM covers a wide spectrum of fields, from the most fundamental areas (algebra/number theory/geometry/topology, analysis and PDEs, combinatorics and dynamical systems) to applied mathematics (in the fields of biomedicine, climate change mitigation and adaptation and natural hazards). The Mathematical and Computational Biology group and the Knowledge Transfer Unit at the CRM is looking for a PostDoc to join the project Neuromunt, a cross\-border project combining neuroscience, mathematical modeling, artificial intelligence, and virtual reality to enhance mountain safety. By studying decision\-making dynamics and developing innovative training, it reduces risks, fosters social inclusion, and promotes sustainable tourism in mountain environments. The successful candidate will work at CRM under the supervision of Dr. Josep Sardanyés and Dr. David Romero, developing nonlinear mathematical models of decision\-making dynamics and applying advanced data analysis and AI techniques to improve risk assessment and safety in mountain environments. This contract is envisaged to start in January 2026 and will last two years.
