FAMILY CARE WORKERS

Description

The Home Care Service (SAD) of Sant Andreu Salut is seeking family care workers. Family care workers are professionals responsible for the direct implementation and management of home-based personal care, i.e., individuals who provide daily service at the user's home, in accordance with the Support and Life Plan. 1\. Preventive function: \- Detect and prevent conflicts, crises, or deterioration processes affecting the condition of service users. \- Act before a given problem appears or worsens. \- Prevent possible disintegration of the family unit and/or possible institutionalizations. \- Prevent progressive personal deterioration. \- Observe to detect, at an early stage, risk factors not identified at the beginning of the social intervention. \- Describe and communicate these risk factors to the social worker. \- Acquire and improve healthy, domestic, and personal habits. 2\. Assistance function: \- Provide direct support in situations of already-existing need arising from difficulties and/or limitations experienced by the person and/or family served, due to functional dependency or lack of skills and/or capacities relative to their current situation. \- Perform personal hygiene. \- Provide physical-motor assistance to the person. \- Monitor nutrition. \- Monitor medication. \- Organize and maintain the household. \- Purchase and prepare meals. \- Support household financial organization. \- Accompany and assist users in carrying out small errands, tasks, and administrative procedures related to their daily and personal life, as well as their relationships with family, friends, and neighbors. 3\. Educational function: \- Promote acquisition or improvement of behavioral habits, basic capacities, or skills. \- Promote attitude changes that improve relationships within the cohabitation unit. \- Enhance personal development. \- Stimulate and strengthen the bond between the service user and their family. 4\. Detection and prevention function: \- Observe the condition of the service user and their environment. \- Identify risk situations affecting the service user * Experience: 1 month. \- No prior professional experience required. \- Experience acquired in home care services is valued. * Social Health Care Certificate or Vocational Training Qualification (GM) * Catalan (spoken: advanced, written: advanced) * Spanish (spoken: advanced, written: advanced) * Competencies / knowledge: \- Empathy \- Flexibility \- Organizational and communication skills \- Discretion and confidentiality \- Respect and responsibility \- Emotional containment capacity * Temporary employment contract (3 months) * Full-time work schedule * Other relevant information: Full availability
