Job Summary: We are seeking a field technician with experience in hardware and fiber optic cabling for the maintenance and optimization of network infrastructures in an airport environment. Key Responsibilities: 1. Full management of the passive network and continuous maintenance. 2. Diagnosis and resolution of incidents in Multiservice Network cabling. 3. Participation in cable laying and configuration of new equipment. We are looking for a field technician with experience in hardware and in the installation and maintenance of fiber optic cabling. This position is critical to ensuring the proper operation and efficiency of network infrastructures in the Barcelona airport environment. Main responsibilities will include full management of the passive network, ensuring its optimal condition through continuous maintenance. This covers everything from extending small sections to optimizing all network subsystems, guaranteeing connectivity at every user point. Initiative in keeping wiring closets and equipment clean and in good condition will be valued. It will be necessary to diagnose and resolve incidents in the Multiservice Network cabling, both in its active and passive components. Network diagnostic tools (e.g., analyzers) will be used to conduct inspections and repair or replace damaged elements. Participation in cable and fiber optic laying within the data processing center and configuration of new equipment will also be required. Temporary contract. Experience in network installation and maintenance, knowledge of hardware, proficiency with network diagnostic tools (analyzers), experience in fiber optic and copper cabling, and ability to troubleshoot faults.
