Job Summary: We are seeking an Intermediate Data Engineer to design, maintain, and implement robust and scalable data pipelines, ensuring data quality and collaborating on technology projects. DESCRIPTION We are looking for Intermediate Data Engineer profiles to join directly a major multinational in the defense sector, participating in technology projects in Barcelona related to data engineering, Big Data, and cloud architectures. Location: Carrer de Roc Boronat, 133\. Barcelona Work Mode: Hybrid Openings: 4 positions Direct hiring by end client #### **What You’ll Do:** * Design and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines. * Implement data ingestion, transformation, and loading processes. * Ensure data quality, consistency, and traceability. * Monitor performance and optimize processing times. * Collaborate with data architects and BI and AI teams. * Document data flows and technical dependencies. * Participate in CI/CD automation and deployment of pipelines. #### **We’re Looking For People With:** * Logical thinking and efficiency orientation. * Analytical ability and problem-solving skills. * Organizational and technical documentation skills. * Teamwork with analysts, data scientists, and architects. * Proactivity and continuous learning. REQUIREMENTS * Experience in designing and implementing ETL and ELT pipelines. * Advanced proficiency in SQL and handling large volumes of data. * Experience with data-oriented programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java. * Experience with orchestration and data flow tools such as Airflow, NiFi, or Prefect. * Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases. * Understanding of data formats such as JSON, Parquet, Avro, or CSV. * Experience in data quality control and automated validations. * Minimum English level B2\. #### **Education** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field. * Specialized training in Big Data or Data Engineering is a plus. #### **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience in Big Data environments with Spark, Hadoop, or Flink. * Knowledge of Data Lake and Data Warehouse architectures. * Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP. * Knowledge of data streaming with Kafka, Kinesis, or Pub/Sub. * Familiarity with containers and Kubernetes. * Basic knowledge of data governance and metadata. * Certifications in ETL or Big Data tools. * English level C1\.
