We are currently seeking a candidate to join our team as a **RAMS Engineer (Railway Sector)**. **Job Description** **What Will Your Responsibilities Be?** **1. Reliability** * Perform **Failure Mode Analysis (FMEA/FTA)** on critical components (bogies, braking systems, traction units, signaling). * Calculate and validate metrics such as **MTBF, MTTR, and failure rates (λ)** using specialized software or client-specific internal tools. * Participate in **validation testing** (laboratory/field) to verify compliance with reliability requirements, documenting results per EN 50126. * Prepare technical reports justifying compliance with contractual reliability objectives. **2. Availability** * Develop **availability models** (RBD diagrams, Markov chains) to predict system performance under various operational scenarios. * Propose **redundancy strategies** or design improvements to enhance availability, aligned with customer requirements. * Collaborate with maintenance teams to define plans maximizing operational availability, leveraging historical and predictive data. **3. Maintainability** * Design **optimized maintenance procedures**, including repair times, required tools, and technician training. * Evaluate **component accessibility** and propose design improvements (DFM – Design for Maintenance), ensuring systems are easy to repair and maintain. * Draft **technical manuals** and documentation for maintenance teams, both internal and end customers. **4. Documentation and Regulatory Management** * Prepare and review **RAMS reports** (e.g., reliability reports) according to EN 50126, EN 50129, and CSM RA, ensuring alignment with customer certification processes. * Ensure compliance with **European railway regulations** and internal standards, participating in audits and technical reviews. **5. Cross-functional Coordination** * Collaborate with **systems engineering, quality, and procurement teams** to integrate RAMS requirements into early design phases. * Participate in **technical meetings with end customers** to present analyses, risks, and recommendations. * Use product lifecycle management tools (**Windchill, DOORS, SAP PLM**) to document and track the status of RAMS requirements throughout the project. **Requirements** **What Are We Looking For?** **Education and Experience:** * **Mandatory Qualification**: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent. **Master’s degree in Railway Engineering, RAMS, or Transport Systems** (desirable). * **Experience**: Minimum **3–5 years** in similar roles, preferably within the **railway, aerospace, or automotive sectors** (high-criticality domains), with demonstrable experience in RAMS analysis and application of EN 50126/EN 50129 standards. **Languages:** * **Spanish**: Native. * **English**: **C1 level** (mandatory). **Specific Technical Competencies:** * * Proficiency in **reliability analysis methodologies**: FMEA, FTA, MTBF/MTTR calculations, Weibull analysis. * Advanced knowledge of **European railway regulations**: EN 50126 (RAMS), EN 50129 (signaling), CSM RA, and railway safety regulations (EU 402/2013, EU 2015/1136). * Experience with **RAMS analysis tools**: ReliaSoft BlockSim, MATLAB, or similar. * Proficiency in **requirements management and PLM software**: + **Windchill** (PTC): Product lifecycle management, documentation control, and requirement traceability. + **DOORS**: Technical requirements management and traceability. + **SAP PLM**: Integration of engineering processes and data management. * Ability to interpret **technical drawings, electrical/mechanical schematics**, and railway system documentation. **Certifications (Desirable)** * **RAMS Standards Training**: Courses on EN 50126/EN 50129. * **IRIS Certification** (International Railway Industry Standard): An advantage for international projects. **Additional Information** **What Do We Offer?** International work environment and professional growth Private health insurance 22 annual vacation days + additional rest days Flexible and intensive working hours: 7:00–15:00 At ATEXIS, we value every individual within our organization.
