We are looking for a Laboratory Technician. Responsibilities: * Laboratory management: maintaining databases, managing orders and tracking purchases (consumables/inventoriable items), equipment maintenance, general laboratory cleaning and organization, preparation of reagents and solutions (including sterilization), control of mycoplasma-free cell stocks, biosafety monitoring. * Handling of experimental animals: genotyping and colony management of mice, including: intraperitoneal injection, blood collection, dissection, transcardiac perfusion, and processing of biological samples (blood and tissues). * Performing biochemistry/molecular biology techniques/experiments: DNA and RNA extraction, PCR and qRT\-PCR, bacterial transformation, bacterial growth and colony isolation, plasmid isolation and analysis, cloning, protein production. * Performing cell biology techniques/experiments: cell line culture and primary cell isolation, quality controls (mycoplasma testing, serum batch evaluation, genetic profiling of cell lines), cell transfection and transduction, immunocytochemistry and immunofluorescence, flow cytometry. * Performing histological techniques: histological techniques on human and animal tissues, including: necropsy, tissue sectioning, freezing and paraffin embedding, cryostat and microtome sectioning, staining procedures, immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence. * At UAX, we support the personal and professional growth of our employees: Contract Type: Temporary (1.5 months, from March 16 to May 29) **Requirements:** --------------- Required Education: * Qualification: Vocational Training Cycle II (FPII) in Clinical Diagnostic Laboratory or in Pathological Anatomy and Cytology. * Required Technical Knowledge: * Category C license for handling experimental animals. * Histological, cellular, and molecular biology techniques. * Basic office software proficiency. Required Experience: * Proven prior experience in managing and working in biomedical or biotechnological research laboratories. * Proven prior experience in handling experimental animals. * Proven prior experience in histological, cellular, and molecular biology techniques.
