If you’re looking for your next challenge, this is your opportunity: * **Obsolescence Management:** * Participate in the development and leadership, from DISOS\-SECALI, of the new approach to Obsolescence Management in the Navy. * Provide specialized technical support to steering and monitoring committees in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating obsolescence issues. * Review first-level obsolescence technical reports from the obsolescence management process. * Evaluate the impact of obsolescence on safety, availability, and operational capability of equipment or systems. * Analyze proposed technical solutions for identified obsolescence cases. * Coordinate with naval programs (F\-110, S\-80, BAM IS, BHC, EAB) to integrate sustainment plans that reduce obsolescence risks. * Support defining technical requirements for developing new functionalities in the future Logistics Information System to control and manage obsolescence within the Navy. * Update and develop Navy regulations and doctrine regarding obsolescence management. * **Logistics Configuration Control:** * Support continuous improvement and updating of logistics Configuration Control (CdC) for all Navy vessels and units through interaction with shipyards and vessels directly, including document loading and maintenance in GALIA. * Support managing and resolving configuration discrepancies in active units and systems. * Monitor specific technical projects (e.g., PODs replacement on JUAN CARLOS I). * **Interaction with Major Suppliers:** * Support updating, maintaining, and improving the ALI concept to ensure unit sustainment. * Participate in technical meetings, audits, and coordination with suppliers and contractors. * **Ship Acquisition Programs:** * Support Navy acquisition programs to ensure the provision of logistic support and proper integration of its key elements into the Navy’s logistics information system. * **Maintenance**: Analysis of recurring failure cases in ship equipment and units. Occasional additional responsibilities: * **Contract Preparation and Monitoring:** * Collaborate in preparing, reviewing, and monitoring contracts and framework agreements related to sustainment and maintenance. * **Technical Document Management:** * Review, upload, and manage technical documents, MTEs, maintenance plans, and provide support in specialized tools. * **Audits:** * Conduct configuration audits and logistics inspections. * **Proposals:** * Perform specific technical analysis and propose improvements for issues identified in configuration or documentation. Apply today and be the difference you want to see in the world! **Work Experience** We are looking for engineers capable of shaping the world, finding new challenges, and surpassing goals—people who think differently to redefine what’s possible. **Minimum and Mandatory Requirements** **Education** * Master's degree (MECES Level 3) / Higher Degree in Naval Engineering or equivalent. **Minimum required: MECES 3** **Experience** * Experience in obsolescence management or logistics configuration control, or Integrated Logistic Support (ILS), or maintenance management, preferably in military environments. **Minimum required: 3 years** * Spanish language proficiency. **Minimum required: Native level or Official Certification at C2 level** * Certification of English language skills according to the "Common European Framework of Reference for Languages" (CEFR). **Minimum required: B1 or TOEIC 550 784** **Desirable/Additional Requirements** * Demonstrable professional experience in activities related to obsolescence management linked to military system sustainment. **Desirable: 6 years** * Demonstrable professional experience in logistics configuration control activities directly related to ships. **Desirable: 3 years** * Certified training courses for industrial/naval maintenance: preventive maintenance, diagnostics, corrective maintenance, predictive maintenance, or condition-based maintenance (CBM), reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), vibration analysis, thermography, tribology, or similar. Courses in these subjects with at least 25 hours of specific training will be valued. **Desirable: More than 3 courses** * Professional experience using sustainment management tools.
