Collaborate with global teams to drive improvements and align objectives. **Job Opportunity** **JOB DESCRIPTION** The **Supplier Manager** is responsible for managing and optimizing relationships with suppliers within their assigned portfolio to ensure quality, cost efficiency, strategic execution, and risk mitigation. The role serves as the liaison between managed suppliers and **Category Management**, **Business Unit**, and **Global** functions, as required. It leverages structured processes and scorecards to monitor performance, drive improvements, coordinate strategic development, and align supplier contributions with strategic objectives. **SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES** Using a combination of Supplier Plans defined by the Category Management team, available structured processes and scorecards, and inputs and escalations received from various internal stakeholders, the Supplier Manager will be responsible for: **Supplier Strategy Planning and Execution** * Develop the Supplier Plan in collaboration with Category Management and Business Unit teams, ensuring direct support to category strategy and business strategic projects * Monitor spend and performance aligned with category segmentation and provide recommendations for changes to Strategic and Tactical segmentation when necessary * Ensure compliance with all contractual agreements and supplier-specific terms, in alignment with Flowserve policies and procedures * Plan and lead Quarterly Business Reviews / Strategic Business Reviews, ensuring alignment with long-term strategy * Coordinate strategic development activities, collaborating with Supplier Quality and Supplier Development as needed * Review spend trends and provide business recommendations for opportunities related to spend consolidation or contractualization **Supplier Health Management** * Manage supplier relationships, overall performance health, and continuous improvement initiatives * Monitor and act upon supplier performance regarding competitiveness, on-time delivery, quality (COPQ), and cost * Collaborate with Supplier Development and Supplier Quality on supplier risk management, addressing and mitigating high-risk criteria—including maintaining risk elements in the SC Risk App * Coordinate with suppliers on identified escalations and risks through appropriate escalation channels * Ensure alignment among supplier workload, available capacity, and business needs, proposing alternative options in case of bottlenecks * Ensure effective supplier relationship management through ongoing interaction, identification of key stakeholders, open communication channels, and up-to-date supplier master data **Operational Support** * Coordinate with plant or business unit leadership to manage escalations through appropriate channels * Provide support in resolving incidents by coordinating appropriate global resources * Ensure business continuity and supplier responsiveness * Ensure internal alignment across multiple business units and shared suppliers, including governance of agreed-upon terms from both plant and supplier perspectives * Maintain formal and structured governance through actions escalated from MORs **KEY OBJECTIVES** With respect to assigned suppliers to manage: * Execute the Supplier Plan * Coordinate strategic development projects * Monitor supplier performance using scorecards and drive mitigation actions when required * Ensure contractual coverage and contract compliance for managed suppliers * Conduct global risk assessments for managed suppliers * Drive spend consolidation based on a strategic approach * Coordinate and resolve escalations **ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE** * This position reports to the Regional Supplier Management Leader * Matrix reporting to the relevant Category Director and, where applicable, to the Divisional Supply Chain Director * This position has no direct reports **REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE** * 7+ years of experience in Supply Chain * Strong interpersonal, stakeholder collaboration, and relationship management skills * Demonstrated understanding of commercial and technical aspects of supply chain * Highly commercial orientation and negotiation skills * Strong project management expertise * Knowledge of the supplier base within the relevant category * Understanding of market dynamics * Strong analytical skills, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation * Certification as a Supply Chain Professional * Geographic flexibility for development opportunities * Ability to influence, communicate, and collaborate at all organizational levels **What We Offer** * Comprehensive benefits package along with a competitive salary ``` Flowserve is a global leader in manufacturing and aftermarket services for comprehensive flow control systems.
