Palex Medical Technical Service 4 hours ago Description Palex is seeking to hire a **Field Service Engineer** for our Technical Support Department (SAT) to cover the **Central Region.** **Location:** Madrid or surrounding areas. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing **technical support for Shimadzu chromatography and mass spectrometry equipment.** The **main responsibilities** of the successful candidate will include: * Installation, validation, and commissioning of instruments on-site. * Performing diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs both on-site and in-house. * Providing high-level technical support to external and internal customers at their facilities. * Providing telephone/remote assistance to customers. * Communicating with customers to ensure satisfaction and implementing necessary corrective actions. * Ensuring timely and accurate delivery of all required documentation and reports. * Adhering to all company procedures and protocols. * Complying with all safety policies, practices, and procedures at all times. * Promoting maintenance contracts to target customers. * Collaborating with sales and marketing departments on instrument fleet renewal. We are looking for a candidate with a **Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Electronic Engineering**, and knowledge of chromatography, scientific and medical instrumentation, and chemistry. **Proficiency** in spoken and written English is highly valued. Technical aptitude and **willingness to travel** (30% of the time) are essential — primarily within Spain, occasionally elsewhere on the Iberian Peninsula and Europe (for training).
