We require **an Electrical Design Engineer for Traction SS&E** for a company based in Madrid. The position is located in Madrid. The candidate must possess a multidisciplinary profile and the ability to adapt to the team’s needs across various departments—particularly focusing on budgeting, tenders, preliminary planning, and preparation of technical-commercial proposals. **Responsibilities:** * Develop conceptual, basic, and detailed designs. * Define the electrical architecture of the substation. * Select high-, medium-, and low-voltage equipment. * Design the physical layout (layout) of equipment. * Perform load flow and voltage drop studies. * Conduct short-circuit and grounding calculations. * Draft technical specifications for equipment (power transformers, rectifiers, GIS or AIS switchgear, circuit breakers, protection systems, AC/DC auxiliary systems, UPS systems, and batteries). Requirements: * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. * Industrial Engineering (electrical specialization). * Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred). * Experience in electrical substations, railway traction, high voltage, transformer substations, and EPC projects.
