**The internship we offer**
This internship is embedded within the Market Access team, whose objective is to ensure access to and funding of Biogen’s portfolio of treatments within the public healthcare system. During this program, interns will receive support and training in areas including drug pricing and reimbursement within the National Health System, coordination with public administration at the level of Autonomous Communities and hospital management bodies, generation and dissemination of available evidence, and internal cross-functional dynamics across corporate functions within the pharmaceutical industry.
Additionally, the selected candidate will participate in preparing negotiations for the funding and access of new treatments for neurodegenerative rare diseases, support the preparation of meetings with hospital pharmacists and healthcare system managers, have the opportunity to interact and collaborate with international teams, and work cross-functionally across all departments of Biogen’s Spanish affiliate.
Key responsibilities:
* Support the development of pharmacoeconomic studies for Biogen’s portfolio products.
* Support the design of communication strategies conveying the evidence and value of Biogen’s portfolio products to managers of the National Health System.
* Collaborate in organizing events with healthcare managers and pharmacists.
* Contribute to monitoring the pricing and access status of Biogen’s portfolio products and their competitors through collaboration with access and commercial teams, secondary research of publicly available sources, and information exchange with international teams.
* Monitor publicly available media coverage regarding financing and access decisions made by the Ministry of Health and Autonomous Communities.
* Participate in internal meetings with cross-functional teams within Biogen’s Spanish affiliate, as well as with international teams.
**Requirements:**
* Scientific background, ideally a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Biology.
* Excellent teamwork and organizational skills.
* Strong analytical capabilities.
* Attention to detail.
* Proactivity and enthusiasm for learning about new topics.
* Flexibility and adaptability.
* Languages: advanced English (written and spoken).
* Experience reading and analyzing scientific articles.
* Proficiency in mathematical calculations and Excel usage.

* Educational agreement: signing an educational collaboration agreement with the candidate’s academic institution is mandatory.

* Working hours: Monday–Thursday, 9:00–17:30; Friday, 8:00–15:00. Intensive summer schedule.
