**Objective**

The Platform for Children is announcing a full-time position for a Political Advocacy Technician at the Platform for Children.
Reporting to the Head of Political Advocacy, the candidate must effectively fulfill the Platform for Children’s mission, working collaboratively with other technical staff of the Platform for Children as well as its member organizations.
**Responsibilities**
* Providing technical support for the proper implementation of the Platform for Children’s political advocacy strategy.
* Coordinating and executing events related to political advocacy.
* Formulating, managing, and justifying social projects.
* Supporting the coordination of working groups on political advocacy or related activities within the area.
* Monitoring research, analyses, and reports on childhood policies as determined by the organization.
* Analyzing public policies at national and international levels concerning children's rights.
* Implementing political advocacy actions, projects, and strategies at national, European, and international levels.
* Drafting position statements, monitoring reports, and action proposals grounded in a rights-based approach, aligned with the Platform for Children’s scope of action.
* Representing the Platform for Children in appropriate forums.
* Performing any other tasks related to the professional category as assigned by the supervisor.
* Encouraged to actively participate in developing the Platform for Children’s programs, as well as in monitoring and meeting established indicators.
* Designing, implementing, and monitoring assigned activities.
* Will not supervise any staff members. Must be able to work collaboratively with other program technicians to carry out assigned tasks.
* Responsible for executing and managing the portion of the program budget assigned, in accordance with current accounting management protocols.
**Offered**
* Professional Group 1, as stipulated in the State Collective Agreement for Social Action and Intervention
* Working hours: Flexible, with fixed core hours from 10:00 to 15:00, Monday to Friday.
* Duration: Indefinite
* Annual gross salary: Between 27,115.90 €
* Workplace: Calle Escosura, 3, Local 2, 28015 Madrid.
* Possibility of teleworking 3 days per week, and 100% telework during summer period.
**Profile:**
Requirements
* University degree preferably in Economics, Political Science, Sociology, Law, or related fields.
* Knowledge of children's rights.
* Demonstrable experience of at least 2 years in similar departments or roles.
* Knowledge and experience in formulating, managing, and justifying projects.
* Demonstrable experience in analyzing public policies.
* High level of English, demonstrable. Reference level B2.
* Alignment with the mission and principles of the Platform for Children.
* Ability to work collaboratively in teams.
* Organizational, planning, and accountability skills.
* Negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
* Certificate of no sexual offense record.
* Availability for travel.
* Valid work permit in Spain.
**Valued qualifications:**
* Postgraduate qualification in areas related to human rights, children's rights, or inequality.
* Proficiency in computer applications and management/analysis software, especially Microsoft 365 and Dynamics.
* International experience.
* Experience in drafting reports and organizing events.
* Knowledge and experience in poverty, health, and education.
* Knowledge and experience in the third sector.
