SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER (ENERGY)

Description

From the P\&PD engineering team (ATS Global), we are managing the selection process for a Senior Electrical Engineer to work at a major engineering company headquartered in Madrid, on energy projects (thermal power plants, solar thermal plants, combined cycle plants, cogeneration, or biomass plants). The selected candidate will carry out the following responsibilities: * Design of electrical systems. * Definition of basic, bid, and detailed engineering. * Preparation of procurement specifications for electrical equipment. * Evaluation of bids, review of manufacturer documentation, and commissioning of equipment. * Definition of single-line diagrams and protection and measurement single-line diagrams. * Development of control and wiring diagrams, control logic diagrams, and process flow diagrams. * Electrical calculations (short-circuit analysis, cable sizing, protection coordination). * Material take-offs (BOMs). * Preparation of general layout drawings. * General arrangement of electrical equipment. * Coordination with other disciplines and with the client. * Supervision of junior engineers' work. Desired skills and knowledge: \- Academic background: Degree and Master’s in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification. \- Minimum 10 years’ experience in thermal power plants, cogeneration, and/or biomass plants. \- Knowledge of electrical standards: IEC, European directives, Spanish regulations, IEEE. \- Languages: minimum English level B2\. Other languages are an asset. \- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Access (or equivalent), ETAP, AutoCAD is desirable. \- Willingness to undertake short- to medium-term international travel.
