What profile do we need? * Over 5 years’ experience in the telecom industry, with expertise in Core Network, RAN, and associated services architecture. * Demonstrable experience in 5G Core architecture and implementation of 3GPP subsystems, especially in resource allocation, service orchestration, and control plane. * Advanced knowledge of virtualization and cloud platforms, as well as software development for telecommunications environments. * Experience in development and testing of 3GPP systems (4G or preferably 5G). * In-depth knowledge of 3GPP standards, including 5G-NTN and New Radio Non-Terrestrial Networks. * Experience in satellite communications and their integration with mobile networks. * Experience managing R&D and complex technology projects. * Fluent English; Spanish is an asset; other European languages are advantageous. * Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. * Citizenship of an EU member state and eligibility for EU Secret security clearance. * Ability to work on international projects and solve problems in highly technical environments. What will be your role? * Define 5G Core Network requirements for multi-orbit satellite systems within the European project. * Design high-level hardware and software architecture of the 5G Core. * Develop implementation and test plans for 5G CN subsystems. * Provide technical oversight of subcontractor activities: design, requirement compliance, development, and validation. * Support integration of subsystems into higher-level layers of the overall system architecture. * Participate in defining solutions that integrate 5G capabilities with satellite environments. * Collaborate with international teams to ensure technical consistency and compliance with 3GPP standards and project requirements. * Identify technical risks, propose improvements, and ensure quality of 5G CN subsystem deliverables.
