Groundwater Modelers \- Water Resources Planning and Management (Madrid) **Positions Available** ---------------------- 2 **Company** ----------- Tragsatec **Project / Reason for Hiring** --------------------------------- Tecnologías y Servicios Agrarios, S.A., S.M.E., M.P., a subsidiary of the TRAGSA GROUP, specialized in engineering, consulting and technical assistance activities in agricultural, livestock, forestry and environmental fields, is seeking to hire 2 groundwater modelers to support water resources planning and management in the Community of Madrid. **Work Location** -------------------- * Community of Madrid **Functions and Responsibilities** ---------------------- * Collection and management of information related to groundwater * Characterization and conceptual modeling of hydrogeological behavior * 3D geological modeling * Numerical modeling of groundwater flow (Modflow) * Preparation of reports and presentations **Specific Requirements** -------------------------- Compliance with the requirements must be justified by attaching the following documents in the "Attachments" section of the application (or during the selection process), as applicable: * Official academic degree certificate or proof of payment of fees for issuance of the academic title. * Work history record and/or employment contract verifying required professional experience. * Internship certificates verifying required academic experience, if applicable. ### **Education** #### **Qualification** * Hold a Doctorate, Bachelor's Degree, Engineering, or Technical Engineering/Degree \+ Official Master's Degree in the following specialties: Geology, Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, Energy and Mineral Resources Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Agri-Food Engineering, Agricultural or Agronomic Engineering (MECES level 3 or 4) (degree recognized in Spain or equivalence certificate issued by the General Secretariat for Universities). ### **Other Essential Requirements** * Basic or higher proficiency in GIS software (ArcGis or QGIS) (will be verified during the technical interview) * Intermediate or higher proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (will be verified during the technical interview) **Merits (Evaluable)** ------------------------ ### **Education** #### **Additional Training** * Additional training related to the field of Hydrogeology ### **Other Meritorious Factors** * At least 3 months of professional or academic experience in numerical modeling (Modflow) * Knowledge of 3D geological modeling (will be evaluated during the technical interview). * At least 3 months of professional or academic experience in developing hydrogeological conceptual models and water balances * Programming skills (Python; R) (will be evaluated during the technical interview). * Knowledge of the Water Framework Directive (planning cycles, monitoring networks, pressures, status of Groundwater Bodies (GWB)) (will be evaluated during the technical interview). **Observations** ----------------- * Offer includes: + Fixed-term contract with an estimated duration of two and a half months, linked to the execution of the assignment detailed in the announcement funded under the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan or with funding from European Union funds. + Full-time position.
