Job Description We are looking for a mid-to-junior-level Linux Systems Administrator to operate and maintain Linux-based server environments, collaborating with other teams under defined guidelines. The candidate must possess sufficient autonomy to resolve common incidents and suggest improvements, as well as the ability to work collaboratively on medium-complexity projects. Responsibilities Administer and maintain Linux servers (Red Hat, CentOS, or other compatible distributions). Diagnose and resolve operating system, hardware, or basic service issues. Perform scheduled maintenance tasks, patching, upgrades, and configurations. Collaborate with other teams (development, infrastructure, support) to deploy new services or integrations. Document processes, procedures, incidents, and applied solutions. Propose continuous improvements (automation, security, efficiency). **Database-related tasks:** Collaborate with the DBA team on monitoring, simple tuning, backup/restoration operations, and coordination during version upgrades. Provide Level 1 or Level 2 support for incidents involving both systems and databases. Minimum Requirements (Mid-Level Profile) Systems / Infrastructure 1–2 years of experience administering Linux systems (Red Hat, CentOS, or equivalent distribution). Solid command-line tool knowledge. Basic virtualization experience (e.g., VMware, KVM), at least 1 year. **Understanding of networking concepts:** DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP, SNMP. Basic SAN/NAS storage knowledge. Ability to identify system performance bottlenecks or common issues. Databases (for mid-level profile) Basic-to-moderate experience with IBM Informix or similar relational databases. Ability to interpret database logs and perform simple diagnostic queries (e.g., identifying slow query biases). Experience with backups/restorations and coordination with DBAs for more complex tasks. Fundamental tuning knowledge (indexes, statistics, basic configuration). Ability to execute simple SQL scripts for maintenance or verification purposes. Other Skills and Knowledge Technical English (reading and writing) at intermediate-to-advanced level. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Proactive attitude, eagerness to learn and improve, and capacity to progressively assume greater responsibilities. Experience with ticketing tools is not mandatory but highly valued. Scripting knowledge is a plus. Desirable / Plus Experience with Ansible or other automation tools. Experience with high-availability environments and clustering. Linux certifications (RHCE, LPIC, etc.). Previous experience with Unix platforms such as AIX or Solaris (not required for this role).
