




The AFANIAS Families’ Association was founded in 1964 and works daily to become a leading organization in intellectual disability, with social presence and influence, facilitating the autonomy and quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities and their families, while responding to the life cycle of these individuals. In this context, we are recruiting a Caregiver for the residence located in POZUELO DE ALARCÓN (Madrid), for weekend and holiday shifts (substitution—immediate incorporation). The mission of this position is to maintain and support users’ personal/occupational autonomy, preserve manipulative and daily-life skills, and directly participate in implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the therapeutic and rehabilitative measures planned for users. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES * Anticipate, identify, and respond to users’ needs. * Ensure adherence to self-care protocols (manipulative and daily-life skills). * Foster habits of order, cleanliness, and hygiene among users. * Teach users how to handle various workshop materials and tools. * Actively participate in conflict resolution; provide direct user support and assistance. * Ensure users’ safety (prevent injury). * Promote and facilitate social interactions among users and with others. * Monitor users’ compliance with daily activity schedules. * Supervise achievement of objectives. SCHEDULE: Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., until annual working hours are completed. IMMEDIATE AVAILABILITY. Desired skills and knowledge: REQUIRED PROFILE • Education: Nursing Assistant or Professional Certificate in Socio-Healthcare Assistance. • Food Handler’s Certificate (desirable). • First Aid Certification (desirable). • Minimum one year of experience in similar roles. • Highly customer-oriented and service-minded individual, capable of teamwork and well-organized. • Positive and constructive attitude. • Proven high capacity for autonomous and proactive work. • Social sensitivity and interest in social causes, especially intellectual disability. • Valid work permit in Spain.
