The DeWALT RAPID DT4586 wood drill is an extra-sharp Forstner drill, also known as a knot drill, designed to produce the cleanest boreholes with exceptionally fast drilling progress. It features two extra-sharp cutting edges for particularly rapid drilling progress, an aggressive self-retracting centering point for quick material penetration, and a non-slip shaft for optimal grip in the drill chuck. It is suitable for use in corded drilling machines as well as cordless drills/drivers, and produces clean, precise pilot holes in hardwood, softwood, wooden floorboards, ceilings of historic buildings, plasterboard, and similar materials.
