Reliability Engineer

ArcelorMittal Sestao is seeking a Reliability Engineer for its steel plant, with the objective of ensuring that company equipment and systems operate optimally and reliably—preventing failures, reducing maintenance costs, and increasing productivity. This involves identifying risks, analyzing failures, implementing strategies to improve reliability, and ensuring assets operate efficiently throughout their lifecycle. **Responsibilities** **Analysis and Continuous Improvement** * Ensure analysis of available equipment data, review deficiencies identified during corrective or preventive maintenance, and determine whether Root Cause Analysis (RCA) is required for a failure. * Focus on monitoring and improving key performance indicators of the maintenance plan. **Maintenance Strategy and Planning** * Develop and optimize maintenance strategies—including both conceptual design and implementation of the plan itself. Define criticality levels and select appropriate maintenance types using relevant techniques (FMEA, MTA, RCM, etc.). Responsible for ensuring consistency of the maintenance plan. * Register the Maintenance Plan in CMMS (SAP) via route sheets, maintenance plans, counters, measurement points, etc. **Resource and Spare Parts Management** * Define spare parts and stocking parameters, as well as repairable spares. * Define maintenance contracts in accordance with plant/department policy: coordinate with Procurement to define technical specifications, solicit quotations from various companies, organize comparisons, and participate in final decision-making. Contracts must be fully operational upon completion of this process. **Standards and Procedures** * Define equipment requiring calibration, along with appropriate calibration actions and tolerances. * Guarantee continuous improvement. * Develop standards and procedures for critical maintenance tasks, considering legal, safety, environmental, and other boundary conditions. Promote standardization of work practices and equipment. **Technical and Document Management** * Ensure quality of technical documentation and equipment data within CMMS. * Manage improvements or modifications related to maintenance. * Support the Technical Department in implementing CMMS (SAP), wherever possible. **Safety, Health, and Environment** * Plan and monitor preventive activities within your area, aligned with the Prevention Plan. * Ensure compliance with environmental regulations. * Guarantee that work equipment and protective devices in your area are in proper condition. * Comply with—and ensure compliance with—safety rules / FPS, R. Oro, procedures, practices, PPE, etc. * Supervise reporting of all incidents occurring in your area and/or affecting your team members; ensure immediate analysis (“hot” analysis) and implementation of corrective actions to prevent recurrence. * Facilitate access to medical examinations and be aware of the medical fitness and/or limitations of personnel under your supervision. **Minimum Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent; specialization in electricity or mechanics is desirable. * Minimum 3\-5 years’ experience in maintenance. * English language proficiency at B2–C1 level. * Proficiency in Office applications, especially Excel. * SAP knowledge (desirable). * Training in Occupational Risk Prevention (PRL), Quality, and SSMA (desirable). * Soft\-Skills: + Ability to anticipate problems. + Identification of safety-related risks. + Leadership and team management skills. + Operational organization and planning. + Communication ability and teamwork. + Results orientation, problem solving, and decision making. + Interdepartmental negotiation and coordination. + Commitment to continuous improvement and personal initiative. **At ArcelorMittal, we believe in Zero.** We believe in the goal of zero accidents, and all employees of the company work together to achieve it. *ArcelorMittal is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
