The company is capable of offering the best launch services to commercial satellite operators, institutions, space agencies, and national and international governmental entities. **Mission** Supply Chain Engineer at PLD Space within the Subcontracting and Product Quality department. The scope of work ranges from supporting Engineering in component design or project requirement definition, to the proper validation and warehouse entry of these parts (including negotiation with suppliers, purchasing, manufacturing, project tracking, Product Quality, and Quality Control). **Responsibilities** * Collaborate with Engineering and Processes departments to evolve designs and improve quality and manufacturability, and with the Quality department in component verification and validation * Negotiate with suppliers and manage supplier portfolio * Conduct technical iterations with manufacturers of components designed by PLD Space (drawing review, manufacturing tolerances, etc.) * Select manufacturers for metallic components (small and medium-sized machined parts, laser cutting, welded structures…) and carbon fiber components (monolithic structures, filament winding, hand lay-up, RTM…), based on quality, delivery time, and cost. Negotiate and manage risks. * Effectively communicate and escalate any risks related to delivery dates and production schedules within the company. * Manage contracting and order planning, tracking orders until receipt * Work on improving data quality in our management and QA systems from a continuous improvement perspective. Result metrics. **Required Qualifications** * Higher education degree (Mechanical, Aeronautical, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar). * Fluent communication skills in English and Spanish (spoken and written). * Strong negotiation, communication, and teamwork skills * Knowledge of manufacturing and component production technologies: machining, laser cutting, carbon fiber component manufacturing, metrology, associated documentation, etc. * Full proficiency with MS Office tools. Experience working with databases, exports, and dashboard creation. * Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain coordination. * Demonstrable experience in Manufacturing, Mechanical Design, Product Assurance, QC, or related fields. **Desired Qualifications** * Experience in high-tech production environments.
