FTTH Network Designer – Germany **Area:** Telecommunications – Fixed Networks / Optical Fiber **Mode:** On-site / Hybrid / Remote **Working Hours:** Full-time Job Description We are seeking an **FTTH Network Designer (FTTH Network Designer / Glasfaser Netzplaner)** with prior experience in designing and planning optical fiber networks, especially in **projects carried out in Germany**. The selected candidate will participate in the design and planning of FTTH/FTTx networks, from initial planning phases through detailed design to generating construction-ready documentation. Key Responsibilities * Design and planning of **FTTH/FTTx networks**. * Development of high-level and detailed designs (**HLD/LLD**). * Planning of fiber routes, ducts, microducts, manholes, distribution points, closures, and customer connections. * Design and dimensioning of passive optical networks (**PON**). * Preparation of execution documentation and drawings (**Ausführungsplanung**). * Design and maintenance of network documentation using **GIS and/or CAD tools**. * Planning and optimization of cable routing and civil works. * Preparation of conduit occupancy plans, fiber assignment plans, and splicing plans. * Calculation and dimensioning of cables, fibers, conduits, and other network components. * Preparation and review of technical documentation required by construction teams and subcontractors. * Creation and updating of **As\-Built documentation** reflecting field-executed changes. * Coordination with Project Managers, construction leads, clients, municipalities, and other project stakeholders. * Ensuring designs comply with client specifications, applicable technical standards, and specific German market requirements. * Review and quality control of internally developed or supplier/subcontractor-provided designs. Requirements * **Proven experience working on optical fiber deployment projects in Germany.** * Knowledge of FTTH architecture and its constituent elements. * Experience with **GIS and/or CAD planning tools**. * Ability to interpret and produce technical drawings, route plans, and network documentation. * Knowledge of fiber dimensioning, ducting and microduct systems, splicing, and distribution components. * Ability to work independently, systematically, and with a quality-oriented mindset. * Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within international teams. * English proficiency required for working in an international environment. Desirable Knowledge and Experience * Prior experience on projects for major **German fiber operators**. * Proficiency with tools such as **QGIS, ArcGIS, AutoCAD**, or other specialized FTTH planning platforms.
