Job Responsibilities: * Inspect and manage equipment required for the surgical procedure. * Ensure strict compliance with fundamental aseptic principles throughout the procedure; create and maintain a safe and comfortable environment for the patient. * Connect various electrical devices and verify their proper functioning, as well as monitor the patient. * Prepare surgical materials together with the instrument nurse. * Receive the patient and initiate the surgical verification (checklist), identify oneself and the patient, verify against the daily surgery schedule, and alleviate the patient’s anxiety and fear as much as possible. * Supervise and confirm that the patient arrives in the operating room under required hygiene conditions and that the pre\-surgical protocol has been completed. Receive, register, and process any intraoperative specimens delivered. * Collaborate with the anesthesia team during induction, maintenance, and reversal of anesthesia, as well as in all related procedures. * Conduct sponge and/or gauze counts before surgical closure, coordinated with the instrument nurse. * Monitor the functioning of various suction systems, electrocautery units, lights, and monitors during the procedure. * Transfer the patient to the Postoperative Recovery Unit (URPA), providing a complete handover to the unit’s nurse and ensuring the patient remains monitored. * Periodically check expiration dates of disposable materials and medications received and stored. * Complete and maintain records of implanted devices used. * Report to operating room supervisors any incidents occurring during the surgical session. **Requirements:** --------------- * Nursing Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. * Professional registration
