Laboratory and Quality Control Technician - Construction Sector

We are looking for someone like you to join our **\#RumboSacyr** and help us continue improving people's lives. **Job Functions and Responsibilities:** * Collect material samples—such as concrete, cement, aggregates, soils, and asphalt—at various stages of the process. * Conduct laboratory tests to determine physical, chemical, and mechanical properties of materials (e.g., compressive strength, slump, gradation, etc.). * Ensure materials comply with applicable regulations and technical specifications. * Production monitoring: Supervise plant production processes, ensuring equipment operates correctly. * Control concrete mixtures, verifying proportions meet technical specifications. * Laboratory and equipment maintenance: Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment in good working condition. * Manage inventory of reagents, tools, and materials required for testing. * Prepare technical reports on test results. * Properly archive records for audits and future reference. * Ensure quality control practices comply with local and international standards. **We are seeking a candidate with the following requirements and competencies:** * Minimum education: High school diploma, or intermediate or advanced vocational training (preferably in laboratory sciences). * Geographic mobility and fieldwork capability. * Valid Class B driver’s license. * General knowledge of testing procedures used in construction plant studies and control; familiarity with occupational risk prevention, particularly on construction sites. * Experience in the construction sector. **What We Offer:** * Social benefits (health insurance, meal vouchers, childcare vouchers), work-life balance policies, flexible compensation, diversity initiatives, and recognition programs. * Personal and professional development through continuous training programs, internal and international mobility opportunities, volunteering, and healthy lifestyle initiatives. * The chance to be part of a dynamic work environment guided by three core principles: collaborative intelligence, excellence, and comprehensive social responsibility.
