At Boehringer Ingelheim, we are launching the new edition of our 2026 Internship Program, aimed at individuals with enthusiasm, eagerness to learn, and a desire to contribute to our purpose: improving the lives of present and future generations. These internships are designed for students or recent graduates interested in learning about data science within the pharmaceutical industry’s business sector. Throughout the program, the intern will develop technical, analytical, and communication skills while becoming familiar with tools and methodologies used in professional data analysis environments. **What will your day-to-day look like?** * You will support data collection, cleaning, and analysis from various sources. * You will participate in developing predictive and classification models using *machine learning* techniques. * You will visualize data to facilitate result interpretation and decision-making. * You will learn to automate analytical processes using Python or R scripts. * You will participate in team meetings for problem definition and results presentation. * You will help document processes and outcomes achieved during projects. You will collaborate with other departments to understand their data needs and propose solutions. * **What type of candidate are we looking for?** * **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related fields. Additional training in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or Data Engineering is desirable. * **Technical Skills:** Programming knowledge in Python or R. Proficiency with data analysis tools such as Pandas, NumPy, or similar. Basic knowledge of machine learning and applied statistics. Strong SQL skills. Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI. Knowledge of Git and version control. * **Competencies:** Analytical ability and critical thinking. Proactivity and eagerness to learn. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to adapt to changing environments. Time management and organizational skills.
