### **About Us** Innovamat is an educational organization focused on mathematics learning. Its mission is to improve how this subject is taught and learned by providing resources, teacher training, and research to the educational community. Founded in 2017 in Barcelona, Innovamat supports 24,000 teachers from over 2,800 educational institutions across Spain, the United States, Mexico, Italy, Chile, Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil, and Peru—enabling more than 600,000 students to learn mathematics through deep conceptual understanding and competency development. ### **Who Are We Looking For?** We are seeking a **Senior Software Engineer** with extensive backend experience (5\+ years) who wants to participate in end-to-end development of complex applications. Your responsibilities will include: * Taking features from idea to classroom: collaborating with product and design to understand the problem, designing the solution, building it, measuring results, and iterating. * Designing and evolving the services and APIs that power the teacher experience: domain modeling, architecture, consistency, and performance. * Ensuring robust production behavior: reliability, observability, incident response, and structural improvements. * Participating in end-to-end development across the full stack. * Visiting classrooms. The entire team visits schools at least once per quarter: you’ll see your work in action and deeply understand the purpose behind what we do. Some current challenges on our roadmap include scaling the platform for integration with new school districts in the United States — rostering, bulk data imports, and multi\-region coexistence — and further enhancing the tools teachers use to understand how their classes learn. ### **You’ll Be a Great Fit If…** * You have built and shipped complex products end-to-end—and can show us examples. * You master backend development—including APIs, data modeling, asynchrony, and SQL—with **PHP (Symfony) and/or Python (FastAPI)**, and possess sound judgment when choosing between them. * You have applied **hexagonal architecture, DDD, TDD, and CQRS** in real-world products and know precisely when they add the most value. * You embrace continuous growth, and using **AI agents** has radically transformed your development workflow over the past year—while maintaining quality and best practices! * You embody a **product engineering mindset**, with genuine curiosity about users and commitment to solving their problems. * You care deeply about how your code behaves in production—not just whether tests pass. * You enjoy collaborative work and consistently raise the bar for those around you. ### **What Can You Expect From Innovamat?** Our culture and values define who we are and how we work.
