Institution recognized for teaching and research excellence We are looking for a Gastroenterology Specialist Physician to join the Surgery Department of the Alt Penedès and Garraf Healthcare Consortium. The Alt Penedès–Garraf Healthcare Consortium comprises the Alt Penedès County Hospital (Vilafranca del Penedès), R. Sant Camil Hospital (Sant Pere de Ribes), Sant Antoni Abat Hospital, the Rehabilitation Center, and the Baix-a-Mar Primary Care Center (Vilanova i la Geltrú). The CSAPG hosts accredited teaching units for specialized health training, has associate faculty at the University of Barcelona, and maintains intensive teaching activity, hosting annually over 550 students across various health disciplines. Our professionals are committed to continuous improvement, innovation, and academic development, also promoting research and doctoral thesis work supported by the institution. **So why join us?** * Although we work as general gastroenterologists, we offer opportunities for monographic consultations in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and hepatology. Currently, other pathologies are distributed equitably among all service members. * We perform both basic and complex endoscopy; for the latter, dedicated slots are scheduled two days per week. Capsule endoscopy is also available. With the increasing number of professionals in our service and the new endoscopy unit under construction, we aim to establish an Inflammatory Bowel Disease Unit, introduce functional testing, advance in complex endoscopy, and incorporate enteroscopy. * Our institution has been designated a university hospital complex by the University of Barcelona (UB), a distinction that certifies our teaching quality, research capacity, and clinical excellence.
