The position is based in a retail environment where direct customer interaction is the primary activity. The professional will be responsible for addressing customers' needs, delivering personalized service, and handling inquiries related to available products—particularly within the fishmongery department. Additionally, they will perform essential operational tasks required for the store's daily functioning, including preparing and packaging orders according to instructions received. The role demands organization and careful product handling to maintain the quality and hygiene standards required in this sector. They will also handle cash register duties, ensuring accurate financial transaction management and proper use of the point-of-sale system. The work environment is dynamic and requires teamwork skills as well as adaptability to the natural fluctuations inherent in commercial activity. This position directly contributes to customer experience and the business’s commercial image; therefore, professionalism and a proactive attitude are key. A part-time contract is offered, with a weekly working schedule of 30 hours. The established working hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, enabling work-life balance. Employment conditions will follow the applicable collective bargaining agreement for the sector, including corresponding rights and social benefits. The workplace prioritizes continuous training and integration into a cohesive team. Previous experience in a similar role—as a sales assistant or in customer service within the retail or food sector—is required. A high level of proficiency in both Catalan and Spanish—both spoken and written—is mandatory to ensure fluent communication with customers and colleagues. Completion of Compulsory Secondary Education is viewed favorably, as is specific knowledge or experience in handling and preparing fishmongery products.
