As a personnel recruitment consultant, we are seeking for one of our clients in the quality assurance and control sector a **Quality Technician** specialized in providing technical support to marketing and production companies in the fruit and vegetable industry. **Responsibilities and Functions** --------------------------------- * Carry out quality checks and inspections on fruit and vegetable products in accordance with current regulations and customer specifications. * Verify on-site, both in the field and at handling facilities, compliance with quality protocols and requirements. * Maintain direct communication and provide periodic reports to customers, suppliers, and team managers. * Participate in organizing routes and visits through daily videoconferences to efficiently and coordinately plan work activities. * Collect information on trends and variables that may affect quality: seasonality, adverse weather conditions, etc. * Record all incidents and inspections performed using mobile applications (client app) and state-of-the-art devices. * Conduct process controls and internal audits at supplier sites according to technical competencies. ### **Requirements** * University or vocational training in Agricultural Engineering, Food Technology, Environmental Sciences, or related fields within the fruit and vegetable sector. * Previous experience in quality assurance or quality control roles within the agri-food industry is desirable. * Knowledge of quality regulations and certifications such as IFS, BRC, Global Gap, as well as familiarity with product specifications and tolerances based on destination. * Advanced proficiency in Office Suite, email, video calls, and mobile applications. * Proactive attitude, autonomy, and ability to perform itinerant or mobile work. * Availability for frequent travel within the province and occasionally to neighboring provinces. * Valid class B driver's license. #### **Working Conditions and Benefits** * Contract type: Initial 6-month term followed by potential conversion to permanent contract. * Salary commensurate with experience, skills, and contributions to the role. * Company vehicle and additional expenses/meal allowances covered by the organization. * 40-hour weekly working schedule: Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00/7:00 PM, and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, adjusted according to seasonal campaigns and sector demands.
