Adjust oven, broiler, grill, and roaster temperatures. Remove frozen food items from the freezer and thaw them in the refrigerator. Verify proper portioning, plating, and food garnishing. Maintain food records. Monitor the quality and portion sizes of prepared food. Provide necessary support during busy periods. Inform the chef of leftover food items for daily specials. Notify food and beverage service staff of special menu and out-of-stock menu items. Inspect food quality. Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists. Prepare cold food items. Support management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching staff, and serve as a role model. Comply with all company, safety, and security policies and procedures; report service deficiencies, accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to management; and complete safety training and certifications. Maintain a neat and professional uniform and personal appearance; safeguard confidential information; and protect company assets. Anticipate and address guest service needs. Communicate with others using clear and professional language. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support the team in achieving common goals; listen attentively to colleagues’ concerns and respond appropriately.
