The professional in this position is responsible for preparing and cooking dishes, following the recipes and quality standards established by the establishment. Their main duties include organizing and managing the kitchen, ensuring proper storage and handling of food. In addition, they must maintain hygiene and cleanliness in all work areas, complying with current health regulations to guarantee food safety. This position requires constant attention to detail—from dish presentation to cooking time management—to ensure that each service runs efficiently and satisfactorily for customers. The cook must coordinate with other kitchen staff and front-of-house personnel, facilitating smooth communication to fulfill orders promptly. They are also responsible for managing ingredient and supply inventories, alerting when restocking is needed and contributing to cost control. Adaptability is essential, as the menu may vary according to season or special events, requiring creativity and the ability to adjust preparations per instructions from the head chef or management. The offered contract is temporary, with working hours in the afternoon, specifically from 3:30 PM to 11:30 PM. Salary compensation is set in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement for the hospitality sector. The workplace is located in Langreo, within the province of Asturias. At least one year of demonstrable experience in a similar role within the hospitality sector is required. Practical knowledge of cook assistant duties—including basic cutting, cooking, and food presentation techniques—is essential. The candidate must be able to work under pressure in a dynamic environment, demonstrating organization and punctuality in all assigned tasks.
