(ASTICAN) is a privately-owned ship repair yard with experienced personnel, whose main activities include the repair, maintenance, and conversion of all types of vessels, structures, and marine renewable energy devices, as well as offshore units.** ### **The shipyard began full operations in 1976 with modern facilities, particularly featuring a haul-out system consisting of a Syncrolift platform capable of lifting vessels up to 36,000 tonnes deadweight, and seven slipways that ensure high quality and service standards demanded by shipowners, enabling quick assistance with minimal notice.** **Position:** ----------- At ASTICAN, we are seeking a Steel and Piping Technician Assistant to support the workshop team in executing and monitoring sheet metal and piping works within naval repair projects. If you have technical training, a willingness to learn in a demanding industrial environment, and an interest in developing your career in the maritime sector, this is your opportunity. Your main responsibilities will be: * Provide support in the preparation and basic organization of assigned workshop tasks. * Assist in the technical supervision of sheet metal and piping tasks under the guidance of the responsible team. * Participate in simple inspections and visual checks of ongoing work. * Help coordinate daily activities with subcontractors and workshop staff to ensure proper progress of operations. * Perform basic tracking of materials, warehouse withdrawals, and elementary traceability control. * Support the preparation and completion of technical documentation related to the work (reports, records, etc.). **Requirements:** --------------- * Technical education: Vocational Training, Engineering, or equivalent in naval, industrial, or mechanical fields. * Previous experience in shipyards, metalworking workshops, or welding-related jobs is desirable. * Knowledge of basic office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook). * Ability to work in a team and follow technical instructions. * Interest in professional development within the maritime sector. * English level B1–B2 (desirable). * Basic knowledge of welding, visual inspection, or quality control (desirable). **Other information:** --------------------- *Astican is an equal opportunity employer.
