Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Substation Engineer to manage engineering projects end-to-end, supervise and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and provide technical support to clients. We are involved in engineering and consulting projects worldwide. The candidate must have at least 6 years of experience in the design and management of high-voltage/medium-voltage substation engineering projects and will join Boslan’s Generation and Networks Unit’s T\&D Substations team to carry out activities such as: * Direct client interaction on assigned projects, ensuring smooth and effective communication. * Supervision of project progress and comprehensive control over scheduling, milestones, and deliverables, guaranteeing adherence to deadlines, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. * Coordination of multidisciplinary teams to ensure proper project execution. * Provision of technical client support across all design and development phases of projects. * Detailed engineering of high-voltage/medium-voltage electrical substations (single-line diagrams, layouts, sections, BOQs, etc.). * Budgetary control, cost tracking, and management of billing associated with ongoing projects. * Critical evaluation and validation of generated engineering documentation, ensuring compliance with technical and contractual requirements. * Preparation and review of tender specifications and technical specifications for procurement of main high-voltage/medium-voltage substation equipment, ensuring alignment with quality and reliability standards. This position offers hybrid working arrangements in any of the following locations: Bilbao, Madrid, Zaragoza, Alicante, Castellón. REQUIRED COMPETENCIES: * High degree of work autonomy, complemented by excellent teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration skills. * Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects while maintaining quality and focus on each. * Proactive attitude, flexibility in changing environments, and continuous willingness to learn and improve. * Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with initiative-taking ability and commitment to meeting established deadlines. Minimum Education: Technical Engineering Degree / Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering Minimum Experience: At least 6 years in high-voltage/medium-voltage electrical substation projects. Minimum Knowledge: * Familiarity with Spanish electrical regulations. * Advanced user-level proficiency in AutoCAD 2D. * Knowledge and experience in BIM (Revit, Navisworks) and ProjectWise Engineer. * English language proficiency at B2 level or higher. Desirable Knowledge: * Familiarity with IBERDROLA’s substation systems, regulations, and design criteria.
