This recruitment aims to fill a position of International Financial Sanctions Officer. The position will be based at CaixaBank’s Central Offices in Madrid. This call is primarily directed at professionals: * With proven experience in Compliance (Regulatory and Normative Compliance) functions related to international sanctions and financial countermeasures; * With knowledge of the banking business; and * With a strong legal background. Responsibilities: * Knowledge of current procedures and regulations regarding International Financial Sanctions; monitoring and updating of relevant regulations, including OFAC, OFSI, EU, and UN regulations, among others. * Development, monitoring, and control of the financial sanctions policy; collaboration in risk monitoring and assessment—including implementation of recommendations and gap remediation. * Monitoring, resolution, and analysis of alerts, reports, and communications to SEPBLAC (Executive Service for the Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing) and the Treasury. * Legal Advisory on International Financial Sanctions: + Analysis of complex transactions involving International Financial Sanctions regulations—e.g., involvement of restricted jurisdictions, sanctioned parties, and other risk elements. + Support to the Legal Advisory team in drafting and reviewing sanctions-related clauses in contracts. + Advisory support on correspondent banking matters. + Advisory support on special projects: audits, implementation of new regulatory requirements, etc. * Definition, resolution, and monitoring of control systems related to International Sanctions. Minimum Requirements * Law degree with solid Compliance knowledge. * Minimum of three years’ experience in legal or Compliance departments. * Knowledge of regulatory Compliance frameworks. * Proficiency in English will be valued. * Strong written and oral communication skills. * Interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively in teams, and capacity to operate effectively in multifunctional and multidisciplinary environments. * Service orientation, proactivity, and clear action-orientation. * Proficient user-level knowledge of standard office applications.
