Assistant to the Maintenance Manager

**Job Description** Veolia Spain is seeking an Assistant to the Maintenance Manager who will report to the Maintenance Manager at our plastic recycling plant in Torremejía, Badajoz. Responsibilities * Ensure compliance with safety regulations, identify and correct hazards, manage incidents, and guarantee team training in preventive matters. * Coordinate internal and external resources to carry out preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance—both planned and unplanned. * Administer daily service requests and work orders via the Prisma (Gmao) software, tracking maintenance schedules. * Provide technical support to maintenance technicians, including handling breakdowns during on-call shifts and identifying and planning training needs. * Ensure equipment and facilities remain in optimal condition to guarantee final product quality. * Act as substitute for the manager when required and maintain smooth communication with other departments to coordinate both scheduled and unscheduled operations. We offer: * Permanent contract * On-site work modality * Flexible compensation: Health insurance, meal vouchers, childcare vouchers, transport card. **Requirements** * Education: University degree in Industrial Engineering or related field. * Experience: At least 2 years in a similar role within an industrial environment, managing teams of approximately 15 people. * Knowledge: Industrial installations and Gmao. * Intermediate level of English. * Work location: Torremejía, Badajoz * Weekly rotating shift schedule: M/T. + Morning shift: 07:00–15:00 + Afternoon shift: 13:00–21:00 (During the initial training period of approx. 6 months, the schedule will be 08:00–14:00 and 15:00–17:00 Monday to Thursday, and 08:00–15:00 on Friday\.) * Availability for telephone on-call duties once every three weeks (no travel to the workplace required) **Additional Information** As an inclusive company, Veolia is committed to diversity and values all applications without discrimination.
